Powerpoint Presentations: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

Following this week's work on presentations, here are two links that illustrate what you should and should not do when using Powerpoint for a presentation.

After watching them, post your thoughts about what you have learnt about presentations and how you will prepare your presentations from now on.

Fixed and Growth Mindsets

After watching the presentation and working out whether you have a fixed or a growth mindset, write about what you think about this, what you have learnt today and how this will affect the way you learn.

Answering the questions in the handout can help you with the structure of the post.

I will email everyone a copy of the presentation and some more information about mindsets.

Reflection on reflection

Time to have a critical look at the blog to make sure that it is really a reflective journal of your learning, not just a diary.

Go back and read your last entries and decide whether they are mostly descriptive or evaluative.

Read also some of the other blogs and compare them with yours.

Then write an entry for the week.
